I love to customize maternity session to you specifically! There are all sorts of reasons for why you want to remember this moment in time, and your session should reflect that. If this is your first baby then you will probably want some sweet and cozy photos with your S/O. If this is your 3rd or 4th then it will likely be a little chaotic with some moments away for just you and your belly. Variety is really important as well as not feeling rushed. I got you!   

I have found that timing is a bit variable for maternity sessions depending on the momma. I generally recommend somewhere in the 30-32 week mark but that is not set in stone. If you have a high risk pregnancy we will want to aim a little earlier. If you are not showing very much you may want to wait a bit. Overall, it doesn't really matter! I can also be flexible as it gets closer so don't stress. 

We have so many options when it comes to outfits for maternity sessions! We can go super epic and rent a dress. I also have some dresses to borrow from my client closet. If you are more of a simple dresser there are some really classic options like a maxi skirt and sweater or even just jeans and a flattering top. This is one of my favorite parts of planning so don't hesitate to reach out! 

I am a little partial to mountain views for maternity sessions but there are so many options. I love to chat with my families ahead of time and find out where they have positive memories around the Treasure Valley and where they would feel the most comfortable. Again, if you are up for an adventure I have some epic locations as well. Stanley and McCall have incredible backdrops, or just wildflowers in the foothills make an amazing photo. Studio and in home are also options! 

Boise Maternity photos start at $425 for a half session and go up to $1200 for an adventure session. Location and time of year will be factors in the price. I often have specials offered for those up for a unique location or that are willing to be fully styled by me. Ask for any specials currently running! 

How many photos are included?

in full sessions, all the best ones! Generally at least 50 for an hour session. Half sessions are around 20 with the option to upgrade. 


How long are maternity sessions?

generally 30-60 minutes but this will be customized to your family.
