I totally understand why it’s hard to make time for a newborn session. You’re in major brain fog territory, the house is a mess, and you don’t feel like being in front of a camera. Let me try and convince you why it’s important to make the time!
You can’t trust your emotions in the beginning.
Stay with me… I remember wanting to cancel EVERYTHING in the beginning. I was not up for a single thing. Your hormones are haywire, you’re crying at the drop of a hat, and there’s a good chance your baby is super fussy. This is why I recommend booking a photographer BEFORE baby is here! That way the ball is already rolling and you’re more likely to follow through.
Why newborn photos?
So why do you need newborn photos? Because this time is so very fleeting. They truly are only tiny for a week or two. This unique phase is something you’re going to want to remember because it’s such a blur at the time.
What if I don’t feel like being photographed?
Trust me I get it. I barely have my own newborn photos because I felt so blah. BUT I’m so glad I have something. I always tell moms that any photos you take now (even if you don’t feel great about yourself) you will be so glad you have in 10 years. You can even set them aside and not even look at them for years. If anything, your kids will want to see them someday.
I’m so ready for my calendar to be full of Boise newborns! I also want to introduce Boise Newborn Video! Video is the very best way to capture the tiny details of your newborn that change oh so quickly.
Lifestyle newborn photography is a very relaxed session in your home. I’m usually in and out in an hour! I can even bring dresses for momma and siblings. Contact me today to chat more!
