I was in heaven when I realized that wildflowers bloom in the Boise foothills! In Seattle we had to drive hours for views like this! If you are looking for a maternity session this spring, the foothills in bloom are just perfect. We are so fortunate to have several waves of wildflowers in the Boise foothills!

This session was styled with my client closet! Both mommas dress and little girls were borrowed and I love how it complimented the wildflower backdrop. What to wear in the spring:

I love leaning into the spring colors when it comes to your family session. Yellows and blues photograph so well with the flowers. I am also a sucker for prints. Generally I don’t recommend more than one print in a combo, but I actually love both that we used for this one! They were complimentary colors and sizes and I think it works so well.

I got mommas dress from Vici which is one of my go-tos when shopping for maxi dresses. They have very flattering dresses that I swear look good on anyone! I have used this one several times and it’s always a hit.

Layers are key in the spring. For kiddos its best to have leggings and cardigans on hand just in case. I always have a blanket nearby as well! Pro tip: rompers are best for kids under 4. That makes it easier to toss them around and play without worrying about dresses scrunching up.
